So Long Two Thousand And Nine and Thanks For All the Fish
January- brought in the New Year in Chicago
- waited almost 3 hours at The Golden Nugget for my Alaskan Waffle (a Belgian waffle topped with ice cream, strawberries and whipped cream)
- began year 2 of living in Springfield, Illinois
-unemployment
- hosted our Turkey Dinner Party with friends and tap dancing
- acquired Nigel the basil plant when Sandra moved to South Korea

February - started working for ISPFCU as a temp
- had Valentines lunch with Toby at Thailand Thai restaurant
- toby gave me the movie Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist
- toby had his wisdom teeth pulled out
- i accidentally flooded our basement. . . not a memory I'm sad to be left in last year

March- celebrated Toby's 26th birthday with a BBQ dinner at Smokey Bones and drinks at Brewhaus
- also celebrated our 2 year anniversary with sushi at KiKu
- bought Charleston, my Canon Rebel DSLR
- drove to Michigan to be in my friends Chris and Charity's wedding
- hello Spring 2009!
-Eliot turned 1!

April- experimenting in the kitchen, my favorite being grilled chicken pizza with Havarti dill cheese curds
- started Internet apartment hunting for a place in Ypsilanti, MI
- was still working at ISPFCU and enjoying it
- was actually able to start a savings account for the move
-went to see the St Louis Cardinals play on Easter

May
- putting more plans in motion for our move to Ypsilanti, MI
- sent the security deposit for our new apartment
- started packing up the house, room by room
- grilling out every chance we got
- tried to visit all of the places we loved in Springfield, such as Thailand, Dr. BBQ, Cozy Dog, Coz's Pizza, and Brewhaus
- had friends down from Chicago for a BBQ party

June
- officially moved to Ypsilanti, MI
- unpacking, exploring, applying for work and going to the bars
- going to Ugly Mug almost everyday to use the Internets
- drank way too much coffee
- drove Chris and Charity around trying to convince them to move here
- got a temp job as an office admin for a temp agency
- celebrated my nephew Clayton's 10th birthday
- went to Clayton and Caroline's dance recital with the family and Toby
- celebrated Arthur's 26th birthday at Alley Bar and Babs Underground
- after party at Jess' house, the cops were called, hilarity ensued
-hello Summer!

July
- met up with Kalamazoo friends for the first time since moving back to Michigan
- had pizza and soda at Bilbo's
- saw my best friend Casey for the first time in two years
- celebrated July 4th at Jess' house in Ann Arbor
- set off fireworks in her road
- welcomed Jameson Tamblyn, Toby's new nephew
- celebrated my niece Caroline's 8th birthday
- JT was born on Caroline's birthday
- continued working at the temp service despite it being a 3 week assignment
- visited Springfield for the first time since we moved to visit little JT
- met up Arizona Keights for dinner and drinks at Shalimar then Arbor Brewing Company
- made a spur of the moment trip to Kalamazoo to see Greensky Bluegrass and Funktion play
- had beers at Harvey's and Papa Pete's with Heather and Dan the man
- ate french toast at Crows Nest
-drove home at 5 o'clock the next morning
- went to Ypsilanti Brewery festival with Toby, RF, Danielle, Charity and Chris the very next day
- after party at Perry and Debs apartment

August
- visited Caitlin Rose on a break from her camp job
- celebrated her 25th birthday
- explored her dad's amazing backyard
- jumped on trampolines and drank Molson
- purchased Norman, my baby fern
- was taken to Palio for my 24th birthday
- and had drinks with a good group of friends at Corner Brewery then Sidetracks
- went to Neisha's baby shower
- started looking for a new job
- bid adieu to RF who moved to Minneapolis, Danielle who moved to Portland and Kevin and lady Dana who moved to Corvallis.
- also to Caitlin Rose who moved to Connecticut
- visited Springfield for the second time to see Toby's dad who had just moved back from the Philippines

September
- had a Labor Day BBQ in Ed the Mayor's backyard, he's not really the Mayor
- celebrated the union of our friends Jessie and Juan in a beautiful ceremony and reception
- had delicious Zingerman's with Weihur and Sandra, whom were back in town from Washington DC and Seoul for the wedding
- saw Julie and Killian for the first time since they married in 2008, they were visiting from New York
- officially could not bring Nigel back to life and bought Neville the basil plant to replace him
- tested for a job at Eastern Michigan University
- spent my first weekend away from Toby when he had a class up north Michigan
- my friend Arthur revealed to me that he was proposing to our friend Jess
- hello Fall!

- saw They Might Be Giants in concert for the first time - be sure you see them at least once
- took a paid day off and went with Toby to Traverse City for his second class up there
- explored the towns and ate delicious food
- visited both Mackinac Brewing Company and Right Brain Brewery
- walked around the grounds of an old asylum that is currently being restored
- Mariah Grace (MG) turned 4!
- put together our Halloween costumes, Mike Nelson and Crow T Robot
- celebrated Arthur and Jess' engagement at a party full of chili
- had a Halloween party immediately following the engagement party

- my sis Robin came to visit and we had delicious sandwiches at Zingerman's
- celebrated the Musser Thanksgiving a couple of weeks early
- stayed in Toby's dad's new house in Springfield
- saw Springfield friends for the first time since moving to Michigan
- stopped at Three Floyd's brew pub on the way home in Munster, IN
- went to Lansing to have dinner with my folks and Robin for her 29th birthday
- had real Thanksgiving with Toby at my folks house
- had breakfast at Beezy's with Arthur and Toby on Black Friday
- went thrifting and shoe shopping with the boys, they were the ones that wanted shoes
- had second Thanksgiving with Arthur at the McCardell's house in Oak Park

- attended the EMU Historic Preservation Program Holiday Party/Chili Cook Off
- toby's chili won most original
- went to Perry and Deb's housewarming party
- perry tried to take off his clothes, offended everyone he talked to and puked in his slipper
- toby, geno and myself left early and came back to our house to listen to records
- did sunshine shopping for a group home through the temp agency
- had a work lunch in Sylvania, OH
- went to the temp agency's holiday party in Toledo, OH
- drank wine, ate delicious mahi mahi and slept while Toby drove me home
- hello Winter!
- had Christmas Eve dinner with Toby in the car, a lunchable and a soda from Speedway
- celebrated Christmas with my family and ate my Grandma's infamous homemade spaghetti
- for Christmas Toby and I bought Mug Club memberships at our favorite Ypsilanti Brewery
- reveled in working short weeks at the temp agency
- had a crazy night with Arizona Keights, my BFF- thai food and booze
- had an enchilada dinner with Toby at home for NYE
- chris and charity drove out to Ypsi from Kalamazoo to ring in the new year
- met up with Arthur, Jess, Ben, and RF at the corner brewery to bid adieu to 2009
